Clubhouse


Layout

Our Clubhouse features a main floor seating area as well as an enclosed sun room with Satellite TV. We also have a large open main floor deck with views of our practice area and 9 and 18 greens. Our banquet room is on the second level with seating for up to 100 people and has it's own covered deck that is accessible from the banquet room or by outside stairs. Our walkout basement contains lockers/club storage. All our seating areas are licensed and we serve an excellent variety of food as well. Our Roots

In 1927, Jens and Dagny Rasmussen emigrated from Denmark with $50 and no real knowledge of the English language. One of his first jobs was helping to build the original 9 holes at Lakeside Golf and Country Club. After that he purchased a farm in Irishtown, north of Moncton where he made his living at farming as he had done in Denmark, until his death in 1961. While still in high school, his grandson Dale drew up a layout for a golf course on the farm property. With his brothers Ken and Steve as well as their parents Harry and Etta they worked for 4 years and opened a 9 hole course in 1983. Changes and improvements continued with 18 holes opening in 1995.
